Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Austria to parents Alois Schickelgruber Hitler and Klara Poelzl. His mother died when he was just 9 years old, making for a very traumatic experience. Hitler then became very interested in art school, and was rejected by the Vietnamese Academy of Fine Arts.
He joined the military during World War I and received the Iron Cross (First Class) for his efforts. He was wounded, and then became upset and blameful for his inabilities to perform. This is what led him to joining the National Socialist German Worker's Party, and declaring himself as chairman. Hitler became a very prominent figure, so much so that when Fuhrer von Hindenburg was needing a new leader, he appointed Hitler as Chancellor. After World War I, Germany was in a state of distress, and the people were needing someone new to look up to. Hitler filled the role very well, and promised the Germans many things. After the death of von Hindenburg, there was an election for the new president. Hitler won very easily, and, once president, declared himself Fuhrer and Chancellor. Hitler died on April 30, 1945, the day after marrying his mistress, Eva Braun. He shot himself through the mouth. He was 56 years old. |
